OUTNUMBERED.
Bobby Kane looks like he had better things to do than pose with a
bunch of females. That's his mother, Lola Major Kane (Cullen) holding
him. Standing with hands on hips is Bobby's sister, Loretta Kane (Orlando
Lindsay), next to her grandmother, Rose McLaughlin Major. To the right,
Helen Smolinski Major with niece Alma Kaldowski (Furcinito). Buster
Major took the photo and I believe the location is the Kane home in
West Solvay, and the occasion, I'd guess, is a Sunday visit after
Mass at St. Cecilia's Church in the early 1930s.
KIDS
WILL BE KIDS. Same bunch as a above, except that Buster and Helen
switched roles and Alma almost slipped out of camera range (which
would have been a first). Buster's clowning, as usual; his sister
Lola is laughing, also as usual, and their mother has a good shoulder
to lean on.
